By applying this infusion, the concoctor imbues a shield (or other circular wooden or metallic object of roughly the same size) with a powerful aegis. Anyone within a 5’ radius around the object is rendered completely immune to death and curse effects. The effects blocked by this include Death spells such as dismember or disintegration and those caused by reverse healing magic such as extinguish life or bestow curse.

A character need not be proficient with shields or the weapon and shield fighting style to benefit from this infusion, carrying the shield as an object is sufficient (though it will not grant any other bonuses if not actually used as a shield).

This effect ends immediately if the infused object is dropped or set down.
