Cloak of Invisibility

This page is still in progress.

Infusion — see Artifice for the rules and the Infusion List for the full list.

This infusion imbues a touched cloak, cape, or similar cloth with the power to render its wearer invisible to ordinary sight and even lightless vision. An invisible wearer can still see themself. Otherwise, not even the concoctor can see the wearer without the aid of discern invisible or true seeing. The wearer can still be heard unless they are inaudible, noiseless, or moving silently. An invisible wearer counts as hidden to all creatures unable to see them until the effect ends.

If the wearer is carrying and/or wearing other items, those items vanish as well. However, any part of any item the wearer carries that extends more than 10’ from them is visible. If the wearer drops or sets down invisible items they are carrying, the items immediately become visible. Conversely, if the wearer picks up a visible item and tucks it into their clothing or containers, the item becomes invisible. Light never becomes invisible, although a source of light can become so, thus creating the effect of a visible light with no visible source. If the wearer is dusted with substances such as flour or powder, their dusted form remains visible until the end of their next initiative.

If the wearer casts a spell or attacks a creature, the effect expires at the end of the wearer’s initiative (i.e. after the attack is made or spell is cast). Attacking an unattended stationary object, or cleverly causing a creature harm indirectly, does not cause the effect to expire. The effect lasts at most 1 day.
