Breaking Charge
Warcraft technique — see Magic and Spells for the rules and the Technique Index for the full list.
Apprentice — With this technique, the warlord throws himself forward and leads from the front. The warlord may immediately make a charge attack against any target of his choice, following all the normal restrictions for a charge — he may not charge an ineligible target. If the attack hits, the target suffers a -2 penalty to Armor Class for 1 round unless it succeeds on a saving throw versus Paralysis.
Initiate — As apprentice, and a target that fails its saving throw is left open as well: for the duration it suffers a -2 penalty to Armor Class against melee attacks and takes an additional point of damage per die from them.
Journeyman — As initiate, but the penalty to Armor Class increases to -4.
Master — As journeyman, but the charge throws a whole group into disarray. Every enemy within 10’ of the target struck, the target included, must save or suffer the same penalties.
Grand Master — As master, but the disarray spreads to every enemy within 12.5’.
