Field Dressing
Warcraft technique — see Magic and Spells for the rules and the Technique Index for the full list.
Apprentice — The warlord kneels beside a fallen companion and spends a full turn working with quick, practised hands to bind their wounds. If the target is incapacitated, the technique grants a +1 bonus to that creature’s Mortal Wounds throw. Otherwise he may choose either to remove the paralyzed condition from it or to heal 1d6+1 of its lost hit points.
Initiate — As apprentice, except the technique grants a +2 bonus to a Mortal Wounds throw or heals 2d6 lost hit points.
Journeyman — As initiate, and the technique grants a +3 bonus to a Mortal Wounds throw or heals 2d6 + 3 lost hit points.
Master — As journeyman, but the warlord’s work now holds past the moment. The recipient also enjoys soothing, peaceful sleep when he slumbers, and heals an extra 1d3 hit points during each day of complete rest. If he is enervated, he gains a +4 bonus on his Death saving throw and can end the condition with two successive successful saves rather than three. This effect ends if the subject stops resting completely or takes any damage.
Grand Master — As master, and the technique grants a +4 bonus to a Mortal Wounds throw or heals 2d6 + 10 lost hit points. The salving rest continues as before.
