Myrmidon Focus

Warcraft technique — see Magic and Spells for the rules and the Technique Index for the full list.

Apprentice — The warlord sets her shield and narrows her entire focus to the defense of her unit. For as long as she remains stationary and concentrating and has a shield in hand, she and all her allies within a 5’ radius gain a +2 bonus to Armor Class and a +1 bonus to all saving throws. The technique ends immediately if she moves, loses concentration, or the shield leaves her hand.

Initiate — As apprentice, but the bonus to saves against Paralysis increases to +4 and the bonus to all other saves increases to +2.

Journeyman — As initiate, and as she initiates the stance the warlord may grant one touched ally, or herself, 1d10 temporary hit points. These temporary hit points last until they are lost or up to 1 turn, and are not lost if the other effects of this technique ended prematurely due to loss of stationary concentration or dropping the shield.

Master — As journeyman, but the bonus to all saving throws increases to +4.

Grand Master — As master, and a second touched ally may also be granted 1d10 temporary hit points.
