Order the Charge

Warcraft technique — see Magic and Spells for the rules and the Technique Index for the full list.

Apprentice — With this technique, the warlord picks out an enemy to be run down and sends a companion at them. The warlord may choose one ally within 45’. Each chosen ally may move up to their combat movement rate and make a charge attack against an enemy of the warlord’s choice. That enemy must be within 45’ of the warlord and within reach of the ally’s movement. The charge follows all the normal restrictions — an ally may not charge an ineligible target.

Initiate — As apprentice, but the warlord may choose two allies within range.

Journeyman — As initiate, but the warlord may choose six allies within range.

Master — As journeyman, but the warlord may choose eight allies within range, and the order carries them at a true charge: each chosen ally may move up to three times their combat movement rate before attacking.

Grand Master — As master, but the warlord may choose ten allies within range. The charge lands as one hammering weight: each ally that hits deals an additional 1d6 extraordinary damage to the target, to a maximum of 1d6 per level of the warlord.
