This spell cures a living recipient of deafness caused by permanent wounds, death magic, and reversed healing magic. However, deafness caused by a curse cannot be cured by this spell.

The reverse of this spell, cause deafness, can instantly deafen a living creature. An attack throw is required to touch the target. If the attack throw succeeds, the target is deafened until cured.
