Aeropos Karanos
Guildmaster Aeropos Karanos heads the merchant guild at Teryk and keeps its table in the forum. He is forty-one and appears to live a blessed life: tall, good-looking, wealthy, well-spoken, married to a beautiful wife, father to a multitude of healthy children.
He grew rich supplying the military garrisons along the Darkwater, and fell on hard times when the legions were called south two years ago — his caravans raided, his best men lost on the road, and his remaining traders refusing to haul until Pashlatine’s Company cleared the threat in the dome.
He can be found at his table in the forum during the day, at the bathhouse in the late afternoon, and usually at the inn after that. He is known to be looking for investors willing to share the risks and rewards of his mercantile ventures.
What he offers
Terms scale sharply with how much he likes you, in both directions:
- Secure storage of wealth in his private vaults.
- Loans against collateral.
- Money-changing for gems, jewelry, or coin.
- To those he trusts, consignment contracts for cargo toward Bastion or Vedycaer — “dangerous times such as these require bold venturers to work the roads.”
He is also hiring caravan guards, by a notice posted at the fort headquarters.
