Brenius D’Neith
Guildmaster Brenius D’Neith runs the Mercenary Guild of Vedycaer from its hall in the Old District. A brown-skinned man of forty-seven with curly hair, a barrel chest, and thick arms going a little soft around the middle, he retired from the Sairan Army after twenty years as a well-respected centurion. Good references carried him into a house-guard captaincy for House Ambador, and Ambador’s patronage into his current post.
He has poured his old soldier’s loyalty into the guild, and it is returned — many of his sellswords look on him as a father. He is recruiting hard these days, convinced that hard times are coming to the Empire and that a good blade will be worth its keep.
Dealing with him
Brenius is gruff, fair, and genuinely fond of the fighting men and women in his charge. He respects service and straight dealing, and the guild’s contract board and mutual-aid benefits run on his word.
