Session 8 – The Old Family’s Offer

With no immediate leads, the party began to split.

Arcane henches began studying spells and learning more about the map found in session 7

Singil spent a couple of days studying the healing arts in the Hospital of the Goddess

Pash was allowed to watch the process of evidence collection at the winery, and talk with Damonos about appointing a temporary steward to watch the store until the Levonday parents could be reached to make their own appointments

Casino spent some time gambling in the Silk Pony Inn

Alwyn spent some time rumormongering, but came up empty

Travain spent time wandering the Emporium, looking for someone to sell masterwork armor and weapons
Travain instead found:

A gladiatorial auctioneer, who deals in indentured servants, convicts, and captives.

An exotic animal trainer, with a giant bat and white ape for sale

a mastermaker from house Cannith who had just sold his “clockwork auto-stabilizing light ballista”, but would take a commission to create another one
Casino ended up purchasing the white ape.
On the second day of this, Pash was approached by a representative of Lucius Furlan, rumored to be leader of the “Old Family” crime syndicate, looking to hire some adventurers. The client was looking for help recapturing escaped creatures, marked for use in the upcoming arena games. Singil did not want to “recover” the lizardmen (feels to much like the slavers she escaped), but did agree that getting the large beastly creation of House Vidalia back into captivity would be a good public service.
As the party was making plans and discussing what they would do, a guard came along and told Pash that Vason’s body had been found - they asked her to come down to the watch-house to verify the identity.
Unfortunately, we had to break early, but we know exactly where to start next session.
