Nerra Valek
Lieutenant Nerra Valek is an officer of the garrison at Teryk — an impressive physical specimen, strong and lithe, with a slightly deviated septum. She came in as replacement for the late Lieutenant L’Nara M’Ren and has served very well.
She has a fine head for tactics, and knows the country around Teryk as well as anyone in the fort.
Where to find her
She holds the avenue inside the main gate through the day, taking the name and business of every visitor to the fort down on a wax tablet for the annalist’s office. She quarters with the cavalry in the stable-barracks block.
She will talk freely to those she likes, and share what she knows of the region — rather less to those she does not, and a badly handled approach can end in her asking to be left alone. She has been known to answer insults with a martial challenge.
